Employer Branding on Jura!!!

In Częstochowa, we focus on the quality of work – this works both ways. In 2021, for the fourth time, the city has become the autumn capital of employer branding.

BETTER JOB NOW – THE INNOVATION IS OBVIOUS

New jobs for the inhabitants of Częstochowa have been one of the priorities of the Częstochowa local government in recent years. Better Work meets expectations, gives satisfaction, a sense of security, enables the development and fulfilment of ambitions. The Better Job is also done by qualified and dedicated employees.

We want the labour market in Częstochowa to become the market of socially sensitive employers who care for its employee, knowing that it is his greatest capital. Entrepreneurs from Częstochowa are aware of the necessity and importance of investments in the development of human resources. Activities in the field of staff training cannot only take place inside the company. Entrepreneurs look for their future employees and try to influence the profiling of their qualifications already at the level of secondary schools. The cooperation of entrepreneurs and schools, both at the secondary and tertiary level, is the only chance to educate qualified staff, under the real needs of the local labour market. The task of the local government is to create a platform for mutual understanding between these interdependent areas – education and business. That is why the Center for Better Workplaces was created and this is the idea behind the whole Better Job Now programme.

The Better Job Now programme is based on three pillars of action:

  • The "Fair Play" program promotes the principles of fair play in the labour market in Częstochowa: employing employees (minimum 80% of the staff) directly, under contracts that do not bypass the provisions of labour law and other initiatives as part of corporate social responsibility.
  • Center for Better Workplaces is located in the City Hall of Częstochowa, at ul. Waszyngtona 5, room 112 in the Investor Assistance Center. Within CFBW there is also a website called "Better Job Now", which allows students of secondary schools, entrepreneurs and residents who want to change or find a job to meet in one place;
  • Goal: Your Development involves many initiatives aimed at improving the qualifications of people who want to have a better job and focus on developing their professional competencies. As part of the Programme, an Employee Rights Ombudsman was appointed, who acts in cooperation with CFBW. Częstochowa is a city of well-working and honest people, the work culture of Częstochowa residents is very high and industrial traditions, often cultivated from generation to generation, result in qualified employees from the heavy industry and services industries. Entrepreneurship and creativity in Częstochowa helped the city flourish during the partitions and successfully pass the time of political transformations. Today, SMEs and family businesses are still the driving force of the economy in the region and boldly cooperate with the world's largest corporations, all thanks to the quality of staff, their creativity and education.

JURASSIC ECONOMIC CONGRESS IN CZĘSTOCHOWA FOR THE FOURTH TIME

The Jurassic Economic Congress was held on November 4 at the Arche Hotel. It was crowned by the Gala of the "Jurassic Product of the Year" competition, which was held for the 21st time. We started with a panel called "Częstochowa – Better Job Now". Immediately afterwards, the "Employer Branding for large and small" workshops began. Later, two other panels and two blocks of workshops took place. "Jurassic Product of the Year" is also a brand in itself. Its idea is to create opportunities for entrepreneurs from the region to promote their unique products and services distinguished by high quality, uniqueness and credibility. The "Jurassic Product of the Year" promotes the principles of reliable business operations, supports and promotes local entrepreneurship and economic initiatives.

The fourth edition of the Congress was devoted to cooperation on the level o f BUSINESS -  UNIVERSITY - SELF-GOVERNMENT and creating an atmosphere of partnership and opportunities for local companies. This year, the event was expanded to include Employer Branding workshops, during which employers could learn more about the image of the employer and employee appreciation programs. The program includes discussions on the labour market in the Częstochowa region, the Better Job Now program as well as employee benefits and costs of good corporate image campaigns. The congress forum was attended by: the mayor of the City of Częstochowa, representatives of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers of Częstochowa, the Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Częstochowa, directors and presidents of companies from Częstochowa, as well as experts in the image of the employer, i.e. Zyta Machnicka (Lightness), Iwona Grochowska (NAIS) and Adam Wąsik (EB Laboratory).
