Global Shared Services Center officially opens new office in Gdańsk

ThyssenKrupp, a diversified industrial company, is developing in Gdańsk as planned by moving into a 5,000 square meters office space in the building Olivia Six belonging to the complex Olivia Business Centre and by the recruitment several new professionals in accounting and human resources. In the largest Tricity Global SSC will eventually work up to 700 people. In the center corporate standard business processes are delivered for ThyssenKrupp Group companies, located all over the world.

- A highly developed SSC environment, a well-educated workforce and a high quality service were convincing arguments to build up this Global Shared Service Center of ThyssenKrupp here - said Guido Kerkhoff, Chief Financial Officer at ThyssenKrupp.

From the very beginning the investment was supported by the initiative of Invest in Pomerania, in particular by the Pomerania Development Agency and the Gdańsk Economic Development Agency (InvestGDA).

- The investment of ThyssenKrupp, which decided to invest and expand their business in our region confirms that the Pomeranian province is an attractive place to invest. The company has systematically increased employment of professionals to implement new interesting projects. ThyssenKrupp can count on broad support of regional authorities and partners of initiative Invest in Pomerania in post investment services. I am convinced that a friendly business environment and the availability of qualified personnel enable its further development - said Mieczyslaw Struk, Marshal of the of the Pomeranian Voivodship.

ThyssenKrupp Group Services Gdańsk (TKGSG) also cares about continuation of cooperation with universities, which aim is to create Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) dedicated studies in German and English and, additionally, offers various training courses that will give students the opportunity to do internships during the studies and to develop their international corporation skills. Together with the universities, TKGSG plans to create a unique educational offer, focusing on the areas financial accounting, management, business process outsourcing, transaction process management, overseeing international projects, support of international HR processes, training of ERP system - SAP. Classes will be conducted in English and German.

- Our Global Shared Services Center offers many interesting new jobs. Over the next years, the center will be dynamically developed.
