With millions of eSports fans choosing an online video to entertain and gain information about their favorite games, recent years have witnessed a surge in the number of YouTube Gaming subscribers as one of the most popular platforms to watch, share and engage on trending videos and live streams.
According to data gathered by GoldenCasinoNews, the top five gaming YouTubers hit almost 59.5bn in total video views as of June. With 36.5 million subscribers and over 8.1bn total video views so far, Luis Fernando Flores Alvarado, known as Fernanfloo, ranked as the most popular gaming YouTuber in the world.
Fan Bases Reaching Over 142 Million Subscribers
The 27-year old gaming YouTube star from El Salvador opened his YouTube account in 2011, revealed SocialBlade data. Statistics show the most popular YouTuber in the gaming world saw his fan base growing by 400,000 new subscribers in the last month, with more than 98.8 million video views between May and June.
With 30.2 million subscribers, 31-year old Samuel de Luque, known as Vegetta777, ranked as the second most popular gaming YouTuber. Known for his Minecraft videos, Vegetta777 had almost 6,000 uploads in the last twelve years, reaching over 12.5bn total video views. Statistics show his videos had 181.6 million views in the 30 days, while the number of subscribers jumped by 300,000 between May and June.
Markiplier, an American gamer-commentator, ranked third on the list of top gaming YouTubers. As of June, his channel hit over 13.3bn total video views and 26 million subscribers. SocialBlade data show that his fan base rose by 300,000 new subscribers between May and June, which made 209.5 million video views in the last month.
The Canadian video game commentator Evan “VanossGaming” Fong ranked as the fourth most popular gaming YouTuber in the world, with 25.1 million subscribers, and over 12.6bn total video views. With 24.2 million subscribers and a total of 12.9bn video views, Seán William McLoughlin, known as Jacksepticeye, ranked as the fifth most-popular YouTuber globally. Statistics show that the five leading YouTube gaming channels hit over 142 million subscribers in June.
Highest-paid Gaming YouTubers Earned $72.5 Million in 2019
Besides growing huge fan bases, statistics show the leading gaming YouTubers earned around $72.5 million in last year. With $17 million in 2019 earnings, Tyler Blevins, known as Ninja, ranked as the world`s highest-paid gaming YouTuber. Swedish YouTuber Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, also known as PewDiePie, ranked second with $15 million profit. Preston Arsement and Markiplier follow, with $14 million in 2019 earnings each.
Statistics show a Polish-Canadian streamer and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional Michael Grzesiek ranked as the fifth highest-earning gaming YouTuber, with $12.5 million in total earnings last year.
