Weekend in Poznań APR 22-24

This weekend it is time to open the spring season. Food trucks will appear in Winogrady, the Szeląg Garden and KontenerART, as well as the Nocny Targ Towarzyski are opening. Poznań residents will also be able to take part in many cultural events. There will be a lot of performances and concerts, from classical music, through jazz sounds to original, electronic sounds. Volunteers will also be able to take part in spring-cleaning. Poznań also still remembers about its neighbours from the eastern border.

FRIDAY

Spring-cleaning

This Friday is the International Earth Day. The big clean-up action will last the entire weekend. People who want to take part in the spring-cleaning in the city can follow the profiles of neighbourhood estates councils groups on Facebook and join existing teams that are going to clean up the world.

Food trucks in Winogrady

Food Park is back! This is the second edition of this event in a new location. It will be a great opportunity to try many delicacies - there will be plenty of food trucks serving dishes from around the world: USA, Mexico, Asia and many others.

Adventure with the Gardener 

The play is about a married couple. They both dreamed of an acting career, but attempts to achieve this goal ended in failure. They're much better at giving advice to others. Despite the fact that they can show people well how to live, will they be able to stave off a crisis in their own relationship? The main roles are played by Anna Mucha and Michał Sitarski. Lecture "Farewells returns in literature and iconography of romanticism"

XVII Ratajski Przegląd Teatrów Nocą z Amici im. Teresy Gąsiorowskiej

After a three-year break, Przegląd Teatrców Nocą z Amici returns. The best youth theatres from Poland take part in the event. Two bands from Poznań will play: "W Przejście" and "A TO MY". 13. LGBT + Film Festival: Private desert

On Friday, as part of the festival at the Palace Cinema, you will be able to watch the film Private desert, which explores the boundaries between love and personal freedom, and touches upon the experience of female transgenderism. It is a Brazilian Oscar candidate and a contender for the Venetian Lion Queer. The festival will last until April 28.

Runmageddon 

Runmageddon is an event for children and adults who like to spend their time actively and are not afraid to get dirty at the same time. There are various obstacles to overcome during the race. There are, among others smoke screen, wall of tires, balance beam, coffin, wolf pit. Participants can choose to start alone or in a group. Various race formulas are available, which differ in the length of the route and the number of obstacles.

Kids Run for Ukraine 

This year's edition of Kids Run will be a charity event. Its goal is to integrate Polish and Ukrainian families through sport and to raise funds. During the event, individual running competitions (for children) and relay competitions (for families) will be held. It will also be possible to support activities for Ukraine by purchasing a donation band. All proceeds from their sale will be donated to the SOS Children's Villages Association, which helps children and carers from Ukraine in need.

Thousands of books "for a five"

Bambrzy - a community still present in the panorama of Poznań

A group of PoPoznaniu.pl guides invites you to a walk devoted to Bambrom. "Take a walk" - meeting at the Cytadela Park

On the Saturday walk, children and teenagers will be able to learn that the health benefits of nature have a solid scientific basis and are prescribed by prescription in some countries. Participants will also learn a few short exercises that are effective in reducing stress. The meeting will end with the creation of a common mandala made of natural materials. The organizers provide an interpreter for Ukrainian and Russian.

Noise reduction - radio play for Ukraine

The Children's Art Centre invites you to a radio play directed by Patryk Lichota. To take part in it, you should first purchase tickets online for a symbolic zloty. Graphic concept - Personalities: Tadanori Yokoo

At the Museum of Applied Arts, you will be able to listen to a lecture as part of the "Graphic Concept ”and take a look at the exhibition of works Japanese artist. Jazz Main Valve

Performance "The Right to Choose"

The Music of Buena Vista

Performative reading at the Polish Theatre 

As part of the Forum for the Future of Culture at the Polish Theatre in Poznań, a performative reading entitled "Institutions and backlash" will be held. There is more and more talk about the need to set boundaries in the creative process, the need to educate about ethics at work and disagreement with oppressive practices. Another debate takes place in parallel, which often begins by saying, "I am against harassment, but ...". The process of this debate will be traced in a performative reading devoted to Polish backlash. There will also be a discussion with the participation of the audience, in which artists and creators will take part, as well as a special guest, Jakub Dąbrowski - author of the book Censorship in Polish Art after 1989 .

Speaking concert for Ukraine: Czardasz

Jam's concert

The legend of Polish blues will perform in Tama! The concert will surely include such cult hits as The Time Machine, Whiskey or Czerwony as a brick. The band was the first discovery of Jarocin and became one of the most important formations in the history of Polish popular music.
