Just 15% of the world’s banknotes currently feature famous women rather than famous men.
Check the list of some of those women who currently feature in their country’s money. Omitted from the list is the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II, as she currently appears on the notes and coinage of many countries in the Commonwealth by virtue of being the association’s head, as well as on all UK banknotes and coins by default as reigning monarch.
