A spacious, colorful, and functional office of Circle K Poland after the makeover
Retrofitting offices related to the need to adapt them to new work models is a growing phenomenon. Experts from Tétris designed and executed a new look for Circle K Poland's office.

The commercial real estate market is changing in front of our eyes. Employers wishing to attract employees to their offices are looking for new, attractive locations or deciding to rearrange their existing space. Office buildings constructed almost two decades ago, after metamorphoses, are as eye-catching as modern ones. An example of a successful transformation is the office building owned by Circle K Poland at 86 Pulawska Street in Warsaw. Three floors of this 7-story building have undergone a lifting. Tétris was responsible for the interior design and fit-out works.

The building, completed in 2005, is located next to the gas station – which is unusual. Tétris, as a company responsible for the design and construction, needed to obtain all required fire certifications for the project.

Circle K Poland's office building on Pulawska Street in Warsaw is close to a gas station. Being aware that the construction works, including renovation of all installations, would require fire certification, we were looking for an experienced partner. Tétris turned out to be such a company. It's not only an efficient contractor but also has a team of architects who have prepared an attractive and modern design tailored to our current needs.

Estera Kiersztyn, Leader of the office remodeling project, Circle K Poland

The Tétris team worked on 1,400 sqm of space on the three floors of the office building. The new space plan was created based on the current needs of Circle K Poland employees and the latest trends.

The client's priority was to create a warm, friendly, and comfortable space for employees, promoting integration and cooperation among them. We proposed replacing the existing layout based on compact offices, with open space and numerous conference rooms. While the change was extensive, it required demolishing most of the structure. This action allowed us to achieve a spacious interior, full of natural light.

In interior design, the main idea was to differentiate the color scheme of the floors using Circle K Poland's corporate colors: yellow, orange, and red. They appear on the walls, the furniture fronts and carpets. The vivid colors were toned down with shades of gray, glazing, wood, and a dose of green plants and moss.

We proposed greenery not only in pots but also we have decorated walls and ceilings with them. They warm up the atmosphere and naturally improve humidity. We used artificial greenery in places where access to the plants is complex or there is no natural light. Attractive accents are photo wallpapers, and open, painted ceilings.

Noteworthy is the lighting – in addition to the standard office lights, retro incandescent and fluorescent LED bulbs with warm tones were used, which gives the room a more cozy, homey atmosphere. In the reception area, guests welcome a large company logo made of neon signs and placed on a moss wall.

When designing the space, we thought about relaxation zones, areas for concentration, and video calls or teleconferences. There are also telephone booths and rooms for quiet work. We have equipped the conference rooms with movable partitions that allow us to adjust them to the number of participants.

Circle K Poland cares about sustainability, which is why all light fixtures have been replaced with LEDs, and bathrooms have been fitted with faucets that reduce water consumption.
The scope of the construction and finishing work included: the removal of previous finishes and equipment, demolition of walls, renovation of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical systems. The works were executed to enable the station and the company's offices on the remaining floors to continue operations.

We have vast experience handling out-of-the-box projects, and this one was unique because of the building's location. Obtaining fire certification for each stage of the project is a process that requires a great deal of thoroughness and detail. Our team rose to the challenge and handled the entire process efficiently. Moreover, the logistics and the schedule of work were arranged so that we were not a nuisance to the building users. We performed all the noisy activities at night. We are pleased that such unusual projects end up in our hands and that clients like Circle K Poland place their trust in us.

The result of the months-long metamorphosis is a modern space, comfortable for employees and functional while reflecting the contemporary character of the company.
