Recycling and flexibility in the interiors of PepsiCo's new office
Designed following PepsiCo's global guidelines, the office offers a variety of spaces with unique solutions and details. The fit-out experts from Tétris, for whom this was another project in Koneser, were responsible for the construction and finishing works, which required high precision.

In May this year, global food and beverage company PepsiCo moved to new headquarters in the Monopol office building, located in the neighborhood of Centrum Praskie Koneser in Warsaw. The company decided on a modern space suitable for hybrid work and eco-friendly recycled materials, consistent with its strategy. MIXD architectural studio was responsible for the design concept of the office on the 3rd and 4th floors, with a total area of 3,550 sqm, AD-STUDIO prepared a detailed design, and Tétris performed fit-out.

Monopol is one of two five-story office buildings connected by an underground garage. The project, owned by Liebrecht & wooD, has been developed following the principles of sustainable construction, as confirmed by the BREEAM Interim New Construction certificate at the Excellent level. It's an example of integrating a new building into the historic fabric of the 19th century surrounding, as the location is near the site of the former Koneser Vodka Factory. The project, in which Tétris was involved and responsible for the shell and core stage, combines post-industrial style and modernity.

This original, historic yet modern space met our expectations – especially in sustainability, which was crucial to us because of our pep+ strategy. It's reflected in the interior design, the materials we used, and the solutions we offered to the employees, for example, we gave up bottles in favor of tap water and drinks available in pouring machines. The office follows the principles of our global »Work that Works« program, which redefines the workplace. It is both designed for hybrid work and offers our employees a variety of spaces for on-site tasks. The interior design was demanding, involving details and materials with different textures. We wanted to entrust the execution phase to an experienced partner, and our choice was Tétris. Emilia Bryl, Project Manager, PepsiCo

The space made for PepsiCo reflects a new trend that has been developing since the pandemic – turning open space into a variety of inspiring spaces designed for collaborative or creative work. These include conference rooms, desks for standing and seated work, areas with sofas and other types of seats, to places for focused work like muted lounges or booths for phone calls. The smooth functioning of the office ensures a system for booking desks and parking spaces by the PEPspace app.

The interior of PepsiCo's new office defines colors, product branding in the form of neon, graphics, or wallpaper on the walls, different types of textures, structures, and lots of green plants. We used decorative, acoustic ceilings in the shape of ribbed circles and decorative, metal cladding with sub-printing. There is 2,500 sqm of cellulose acoustic plaster throughout. Also noteworthy are the reception desk and kitchen table tops made from bottle caps. Krzysztof Jastrzębski, Senior Project Manager, Tétris

Experts from Tétris were also responsible for the construction of plasterboard walls, glass walls, raised floors, decorative tinted plaster, as well as the comprehensive implementation of electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems.

The construction and finishing work for PepsiCo took us four months – a good result considering that we were operating during the beginning of the war in Ukraine, which affected deliveries and the availability of workers. Nevertheless, being a global company, it was much easier for us to cope with such challenges. Tomasz Spalik, Business Development Director, Tétris.

PepsiCo's office is another successful fit-out project by Tétris at the Centrum Praskie Koneser. Previously, the company has completed projects for such brands as Atende, Butelkownia – Event Center, Clico, Kantar, Liebrecht & wooD, WeCARE, and many others.
