Career in outsourcing - Recruiter/Consultant 360

1 143

Reviewing hundreds of CVs, unhurried contacts with the selected candidates and lengthy selection processes are the moth-eaten elements of work in personnel consultancy. Nowadays, a personnel consultant is not a mere recruiter, but a Business Partner and HR Consultant for Management Boards
and Top Management.

Consultant 360 can recognise the clients’ personnel needs, suggest the ways of attracting talents, negotiate on behalf of the client while balancing the interests of both the client and the candidate. A Professional Consultant is specialized in the given field or position category and has unique knowledge of the candidates market and the job market in the given field. The Consultant analyses the supply of candidates and the economic changes, is aware of the organisational cultures of various companies and knows the key persons in the business. This facilitates efficient candidate search, often throughout Poland or abroad. Basing on his/her experience and recruitment expertise, the Consultant is also able to persuade the clients to modify their job descriptions or the offers for candidates if these are not compliant with the candidate needs or current market trends. Such attitude is rewarded by clients with long-term cooperation and trust.

In an outline, what are the responsibilities of a Consultant 360?

  • Consultant 360 develops his/her expertise, participates in business meetings, conferences and builds his/her position of a highly-specialised expert.
  • Consultant 360 creates his/her set of candidates and maintains a network of specialist relationships.
  • Consultant 360 looks for new business opportunities: develops a network of client contacts, finds access to decision-makers, sells a large package of recruitment services, develops long-term client relations.
  • Consultant 360 carries out recruitment processes, often in co-operation with the sourcing department. He/she ensures that the recruitment process and requirements are fully understood by the co-operators. He/she actively supports or coordinates the recruitment process.
  • Consultant 360 investigates into the skills and references of candidates and makes the best recommendations.
  • Consultant 360 monitors the level of client’s satisfaction with the employed candidate.

Self-development opportunities

The roles of a Team Leader or a Team Manager appear to be the most natural choices. Excellent sales results, thorough knowledge of the specialist field and leadership potential are the basic prerequisites for considering a career in team management. Consultants can also decide to follow the Subject Matter Expert path. In our organisation they develop further by participating in the Train the Trainers programmes. Many of them explore the long-term job opportunities of a HR department specialist or manager.
